2010 GRAND PRIX

Friday 15th October, about 80 European communicators attended the FEIEA Grand Prix award ceremony and dinner organized on behalf of FEIEA by Vikom at the House of Industry in Vienna.

Before getting to Vienna, the winners of the FEIEA Grand Prix have been through three judging rounds. First of all, the entries are examined by a national jury according to specific criteria. The top three of each category are then sent to Brussels to be judged by a European panel. After the second round, only one of these entries (one per country) goes to the final round.

This year, the seven judges coming from seven countries needed three days, first to judge the short-listed entries and then to judge their final selections. “When I discovered the number of entries I was really surprised”, says Henrik Vinther, the Danish judge. “I was also impressed by the quality of the entries, especially in the multi-language and the magazine categories.” Christine Massin, the Belgian judge, adds: “It’s interesting to work together and share our point of view. Our discussion leads to a real ‘European’ choice.

Marie-Eve Deltenre, director of FEIEA Grand Prix: “Congratulations to all of the entrants. The judges – Daniel Ambühl (Switzerland), Steve Doswell (United Kingdom), Christine Massin (Belgium), Doris Ladewig (Austria), Paula Portugal Mendes (Portugal), Gerhard Vilsmeier (Germany) and Henrik Vinther (Danemark) – have done a great job because they had a lot to judge and the standard was high.
