From Spain: Mercedes Castello
Mercedes Castello is the IESE’s Madrid Communication manager. Graduate in Information Science, Universidad de Navarra, and a Leadership Program, IESE, where she started to work in 1997. She’s been in charge in different positions related to communication in this business education institution. She worked as a journalist in different newspapers an important media in Spain. She’s an enthusiastic person, with a wide knowledge about executive education in one of the world’s foremost business schools. Currently, she’s chair for Internal Communication in Dircom’s Board of Directors.
From Belgium: Erwin Van Overloop
Erwin Van Overloop is currently the Head of content strategy, editing and webservices in the IC department of Belgian bank BNP Paribas Fortis. Current challenges are transforming the existing internal communication channels into one digital native solution, installing a strong central IC team to coordinate and align key messages across the organisation and the setting up and implementation of a communication strategy to support the change towards a digital working culture (collaborative tools) and new management mind set (delayering, empowerment). Erwin has over 15 years of experience in internal communications in the banking sector, with a particular expertise in internal journalism, in which capacity he won a number of Belgian and international prizes, and crisis communication. He has degrees in Communication and Business Studies.
From Italy: Giorgio Agagliati
Born in 1957 in Turin, Italy. Journalist since 1979, he graduated in Phonetics in 1980, from 1981 to 1989 he worked as press officer and internal communications editor at different companies in the ICT sector.
In 1989 joined Sanpaolo Bank as press officer, than Head of the Press Office. Starting from mid-90s Giorgio gradually developed Internal Communications in the Bank. In 2007, after Sanpaolo Imi Bank and Banca Intesa merger, Giorgio joined the Intesa Sanpaolo Group’s Internal Communications Dept, reporting to the Head of Dept and taking care of several strategic IC projects, such as the Group’s in-house magazine (on paper and online), the Group’s new Intranet, the international development of Group’s Corporate Web Tv (Feiea Grand Prix 2015). He takes care of senior I.C. consulting towards the Bank’s central structures. He serves as ASCAI Board Member..
From Portugal: José Luís Cavalheiro
After 41 years of PR activity José Luís Cavalheiro work as a Corporate Communication consultant at News Ability Comunicação, where he develop his professional activity as responsible for the communication policy at Germano de Sousa Pathologist Clinic Group, Halcon Viagens Portugal and F. Lima – Food industry and hygienic household products. He is also an invited teacher of Public Relations and Corporate Communication at the School of Social Communication of the Polytechnic Institute of Lisbon.
From Slovenia: Mateja Edelbaher
Mateja Edelbaher is a freelance communications consultant with over 15 years of experience in consulting and realization of strategic communication projects. She has worked for several clients from different industries, mostly large Slovenian enterprises in the field of financial services and FMCG.
She consults companies in establishing and implementing their communication function as well as carrying out internal communication programs in the processes of restructuring and implementing change. She manages communications in strategic projects such as recapitalizations, M&A, IPO, etc. She also specializes in corporate governance, having worked closely with Slovenian Sovereign Holding for ten years in the process of privatization and managing Slovenian state-owned companies.
She is also an active member of the section for internal communications at PRSS (Public Relations Association of Slovenia).
From Switzerland: Carola Minder
Carola Minder. She manages her own agency “Carola Minder Communications” and has been working as a consultant and head of corporate communications in different companies – e.g. a leading energy group in Switzerland – for the last 28 years.
Carola Minder is representing Switzerland in the FEIEA-Jury since 2005 and is member of the board of the Swiss Association for Internal Communication, called SVIK.
She did her bachelor’s degree as a Public Relations Consultant at the SPRI, the Swiss Public Relations Institut in Zürich.
From the United Kingdom: Mark Hill
Following an early career in public relations, including senior roles in a London PR consultancy, Mark had a in-house career that saw him head corporate communication teams at cable tv supplier Telewest, the UK Post Office and AXA Life. Mark then became an independent internal communications consultant and today he supports clients predominantly in the Financial Services sector.
Until recently a board director at the Institute of Internal Communication Mark is closely involved with the Institute’s accreditation programme and is an assessor for candidates taking the Advanced Level Accreditation. He holds a post graduate qualification in Internal Communication Management from Kingston University.
When not working Mark enjoys family life and can often be seen around his home town on his motorcycle.
