The first of three FEIEA showcase events on IC lessons learned from Covid-19 and future impacts kicked off today with insightful experiences and practical tips from Sibelga in Belgium and Tata Steel in the UK. Almost 40 people from seven European countries attended the webinar which was free to FEIEA’s national member associations.
Serena Galeone, PR Officer and spokesperson at Sibelga, shared how preserving both physical and psychological health of employees became a key priority and enabled them to face a second lockdown far more efficiently. Tim Rutter, Head of IC for Tata Steel UK, talked about how leadership embraced less formal and more regular communication and how ‘inside’ communications had to become external communications as a way to effectively reach and inform furloughed employees.
