Description of the association

Dircom is a professional association of communication executives and managers from companies, institutions and consulting groups in Spain. It currently boasts over 900 members.
It was founded in 1992 by a group of professionals in light of the increasing importance and scope of their responsibilities in companies and society as a whole.

Our main objectives
Our vision is to enhance the role played in organisations by communication and communication managers so that this department and its executives are regarded as a key strategic area and role. We carry out our mission through our four strategic goals: Acknowledgement: Enhancing the role played in organisations by the communication manager and corporate communication. Knowledge: Acting as transmitters and providers of knowledge in communication matters. Networking: Encouraging the contact network and the exchange of experiences among communication executives. CSR & Responsible Management: We stand up for the responsibility, the ethical management and trust recovery of organisations with their stakeholders.

Our services
• Dircom organises over 100 activities each year, in Madrid and at its various delegations, in line with the strategic goals pursued by the Association.
• Dircom members will benefit from discounts in cultural entities, leisure and training activities, such as courses, seminars and workshops related to communication.
• Thanks to an agreement with the UOC, Dircom members may publish their works on Corporate Communication, Public Relations and Journalism. Dircom members have access not only to the Association’s collection, but to all publications in the IE Business School library.
• Dircom offers its members specific corporate communication training, at no additional cost and via the Dircom School.
• The Association publishes a number of journals of reference in the world of communication which are sent free of charge to all members.
• Dircom ensures its members are informed of the most relevant job offers in the communication world.
• Dircom enables its members to have presence in various relevant media thanks to its significant position within the sector and its alliances with many communication groups.
